About Camilla Samengo
Camilla would say she is neither an Antique Dealer nor an Interior Designer but through her love of both, likes to place antiques to create a warm, practical and comfortable setting.
As much as she tries not to clutter, it is by her own admission, a hopeless cause, as she firmly believes there is a space for all that is loved in a home... even a small one!
"By placing such pieces, a natural theme almost 'organically' evolves rather than an interior which appears forced or contrived." She also says about antiques that ''although they are a thing of the past, are very much conducive to the present and chosen with confidence, modern and old sit well together... it is also an excellent way of recycling!"
"Antiques were not only often better made than their modern counterparts, but are these days comparatively reasonable to buy and are therefore a good investment."
Camilla has worked for several years in Auction Galleries and although latterly her subject was Jewellery, she was surrounded and absorbed by furniture, rugs and paintings. She has a general knowledge and a 'good eye' for all these - it is through this, her contacts, and experience that she can source items for you or put you in touch with the appropriate experts.
She also has a small stock list available to view here.
We hope you enjoy viewing and look forward to hearing from you.
